  • The Valluvar Kottam Monument serves as a tribute to Thiruvalluvar, a well-known Tamil poet and author of the Thirukkural. This memorial, which is shaped like a chariot and is 39 metres (128 feet) tall, is a copy of the chariot used at the Thiruvarur temple. The Valluvar Kottam chariot also features a life-size statue of Thiruvalluvar.Valluvar Kottam also has an auditorium in addition to the chariot. Its stunning design, which is a beautiful sight to behold, draws tourists.Over 3000 stone blocks went into the construction of this memorial monument, which honours the great culture of the Tamil people. The auditorium also serves as a location for cultural performances and handicraft and loom displays.
